Nick and I live in a nice quite neighborhood nestled in downtown Denver's Capital Hill area. We live on 10th street and we actually noticed on one of our routine evening walks this week that while our street is completely quiet and residential if we walk down 11th or 9th it's a totally different experience - bars and restaurants, grocery stores, dry cleaners, and all kinds of people out and about. It's like our street is a little slice of stillness in the bustling city.
So it was surprising last night at ~9:30-10:00 when all the sudden the street under our balcony became rowdy and raucous. So loud that we left the TV - which we could no longer hear - and went outside to check it out. It turns out, it was the first day of the Denver Cruisers and this year they're riding right past our place!! I haven't done cruisers since the first time I tried it out 2 years ago (you can read about that here), but seeing them all together riding down the street and having a blast made me really want to join in this summer - which brings me to another point... Summer's here!!! YAY!
